Church of Martin Luther

Martin Luther Church combines elements of the Neo-Romanesque and Neo-Gothic styles. Multi-colored glass stained-glass windows depict scenes from the life of Christ.

The Martin Luther-Kirche church was built in 1833-1877 in Dresden in the center of the small Martin-Luther-Platz square. This is the Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Martin Luther's church seems simply gigantic compared to neighboring buildings. Also, like most Protestant churches of that period, the church is distinguished by a mixture of neo-Gothic and Neo-Romanesque elements. Old stained glass windows depict scenes from the life of Jesus.

Once here, you can climb the tower and enjoy the beautiful and unusual view of Dresden.

Foreigners are more active than Italians in search of work

A recent study conducted by EU representatives showed that foreigners are more likely to find work in Italy than the citizens themselves. Sociologists from the EU Statistical Agency (epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu) found that most of those applying for work in Italy are representatives of other European countries, while the country's inhabitants themselves are less active and less successful in this regard.

Italy has the dirtiest air in Europe

Almost 90% of European cities have exceeded the norms of permissible air pollution, but not one can be compared with Italy: the worst situation is in Padua, and of the 30 most polluted cities in Europe, 23 are Italian. Although pollutant emissions across Europe have declined, 88% of European cities are still exposed to substances recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as harmful to the body.

4000 immigrants rescued in Italy in 48 hours

Italy asks the EU for help in the fight against immigration. Interior Minister Angelino Alfano is convinced that Europe cannot just turn a blind eye to a clearly crisis situation. Over the past 48 hours, Italian services have rescued 4,000 immigrants trying to reach Europe on boats. This was announced on Wednesday by the Italian Minister of Internal Affairs and asked the European Union to help deal with the "already evidently conspicuous" crisis.

Pope's motorcycle went at auction for a record amount

Bonhams auction took place in Paris, where one of the lots was the classic Harley Davidson bike model “Dyna Super Glide”, once presented to the current Pope Francis. The former property of the pontiff was sold yesterday for a record amount: 241,500 euros, which is 16 times the initial cost of the classic model of a well-known company.
