The Dresden Transport Museum (Verkehrsmuseum Dresden) was opened in 1956 in the building of the former historical museum, which used to have the stables of the Saxon Elector Christian I. The museum was launched on May 1, 1952 during negotiations between the technical university and the Ministry of Transport. The basis of the exhibition was the exhibits of the Saxon Museum of Railway Transport.

In addition to the above types of transport, trams, motorcycles, bicycles and cars can be added here. Particular attention is drawn to the hall where the model railroad is located. A lot of interesting and informative awaits you in the transport museum in the stable of Werker.
